Με ιδιαίτερο ενδιαφέρον και περιέργεια είχα ‘δή τις προάλλες ένα βίντεο στο Γιουτιούμπι με τον τίτλο 101 Checkmates in films - a Supercut. Πρόκειται για μια συλλογή από αποσπασματικά πλάνα, σκηνές, κινηματογραφικών έργων ή επεισοδίων ξένων τηλεοπτικών σειρών.
 Πόσα από αυτά είναι πραγματικά μάτ και πόσα έχουν λανθασμένες θέσεις –ή και σκακιέρες με ανάστροφα χρώματα; Όρεξι να’ χη κανείς να κάνει τις στατιστικές παρατηρήσεις και να εξαγάγη τα σχετικά συμπεράσματα.
[Το σκάκι είναι γεγονός ότι έχει μεγάλη συχνότητα εμφάνισης στην Έβδομη Τέχνη (Κινηματογράφου και Τηλεοράσεως συμπεριλαμβανομένων), ενώ δεν είναι άγνωστο ούτε και στο Θέατρο. Εννοείται ότι τα εκατόν ένα ματ που περιελήφθησαν ερασιτεχνικά σ’ αυτήν τη συλλογή, δεν είναι παρά ένα μικρό ποσοστό σε σχέσι με το άγνωστο σύνολο που θα εκτείνεται όχι σε εκατοντάδες, αλλά μάλλον σε χιλιάδες ανάλογα παραδείγματα!]
Προς πρακτική μας διευκόλυνσι έχω βάλη τους (ξενόγλωσσους) τίτλους των έργων από κάτω (κατά την σειρά που εμφανίζονται βεβαίως στο βίντεο, και ανα δεκάδες).
